This is a card I made for our Shoebox Swap on Saturday.  There were so many great Halloween Cards. Mine was a really quick card.  Took no more than 5 minutes (after the paper was cut, of course).

HALLOWEEN TOMBSTONE SWAP

At my Yahoo Group we all decided to do a Tombstone Swap. An ATC that had the design of a tombstone. I thought it was pretty unique, so I joined in. We had to leave a little room on the side for binding, should be a pretty interesting book.   I got the idea from Heather.  She is in my blog roll.

HALLOWEEN FAT BOOK SWAP

Hi Everyone

This is my Fat Book Swap for my Yahoo Group - Altered_stART Group.  There should be 13 pages that will be bound and sent out after October 15th.  I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone else has done.  It's a great group for anyone who loves mixed media, ATC's, Journals, etc.  They always have some kind of swap going on.  Just go to Yahoo and look for the group name.

I can't wait until this movie comes out. Too bad it won't be in theaters for Halloween.  We have to wait until Februay, but it looks like it will be worth it.

LITTLE POCKETBOOK BOX

I bought this tiny pocketbook box (unfinished) at Michael's a few weeks ago.  I painted a little girl's portrait on the front of it.  I collaged the other side of the pocketbook and lined the interior.  It took me longer than I thought it would, but I liked the way it turned out.

AIMEE MANN - Memories of the 80'S

Aimee Mann has got to be on my all time "Favorite" female recording artist list.  She was fabulous when she was in the band "Til Tuesday"  and then she broke out on her own in the 90's and about 10 albums later, she is still going strong and on Friday, I was lucky enough to be able to purchase two tickets to see her live in concert in Morristown, NJ.  It is a small theater which really lent itself to a more intimate, cozy atmosphere which is perfect for her music.  She decided to play "B" sides of her music and then take requests from a clipboard she kept passing around.  It was wonderful.  What a great big voice she has. It really brought back alot of good memories for me.

FINALLY A CARD - KRISTINA COLOR INSPIRATION #56

I haven't done one of Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenges in months, in fact I can't even remember when I did the last one.  I've been all caught up in portrait workshops and all kinds of mixed media worshops, but with the new Stampin' Up Catalog and Idea Book just released I was motivated to make a card or two.  So here's the challenge.

Here's my card:

There were alot of colors to worry about.  Deep Red, Pumpkin, So Saffron, Celery, Ballet Blue and White. I decided to use some of the Designer Paper Packs I had left over for the background of the butterflys and cut them out with my Big Shot and the Stampin' Up Matchbox Die.  The butterflys are from the new set - For All You do.  I stamped the two butterflys with Ruby Red and So Saffron.  The stem was stamped with celery and I used the Designer Buttons.  Pumpkin Pie 1/4" grosgrain ribbon was used for the bow using the Bow-Easy which I purchased from Sharon Johnson's Blog.  You just gotta get one, makes the most puurrfect bows - all different sizes, from the littlest to a pretty nice size for cards, etc.
